Well, well, well. There were those who thought I'd never make it....but I'm still here! BAAAHAHAHHAAA!!!! Who's the foolish one now? Here's a hint, the answer is the doubterers. I don't care if it's not a word. Anyhoo....Today marks both the 1 year anniversary AND 100th strip of this comic. Today's is a rather sentimental look back on how I worked this comic from a two bit comic that nobody reads, to a two bit comic that some people read. Quite a step up, eh? To mark the occasion, there are TWO whole new wallpapers in the
Downloads section, That's right. Two. And you don't wanna know how long they took to make. For a semi-interesting fact, the colour of the background in the screen is the same as the one in the very first Bigger Than Cheeses comic, back when they were still called Goonigoogoo Comics. In fact, I think today's bizarre linkage will be the
First. Comic. Evar. And for those anal retentives among us, I know I spelt it 'evar'. There's some excellent Fan Art donated by my friend Dan (aka
Funk Machine) in the
Reader Input section. All contributions welcome! As you can probably notice by now, there's also a handy little frame down the bottom. This should make it easier to navigate about the place. Also, I used a frame because I have no php skills whatsoever. Hold your mouse over the left and right arrows in the left cell to make the links scroll. If you want to skip to a comic, just select it and hit 'go'. I've also gotten a new counter to mark the occasion so I can see once and for all how many people are in the comics section and not the other parts of my site. Boy, looking through the archives, the art really didn't come together until really recently. Hmm...You know, for such a milestone, I really thought I'd be able to squeeze a longer newspost out of it. Talking about newsposts, I've gone back through the archives and added any pertinant notes/information/random thoughts to a whole bunch of comics, some without newsposts, and some that have. Look for this image

for my own thoughts, etc on those strips. Did anyone find it funny that Super Ninja Vengeance Monkey is wearing a mask over his helmet? No? Damn. Well, I guess I'd better wrap this all up. Thanks to everyone who reads this comic, I value each and every one of you. Really, no sarcasm at all. Mad props to all those people who write in
The Forum, and remember to vote every day at the
Gamer's Choice Top 25 and
Top Web Comics 150. Talking about the forum, I've moved the Bigger than Cheeses forums into the
Top Web Comics forums, which are ad free and a whole lot more powerful than ezboards. I've also gone back and changed any past links to the
new forum to make it easier to remember. Bookmark it! Well, humongous thanks go to those who ever linked to us. It's been great doing these, and making people chuckle enough that they want to recommend me to others. Specifically, the people I can think of off the top of my head include Keir Broadfoot of
High Ping Bastard, Kristofer Straub of
Checkerboard Nightmare, Joe of
Dpad, Chris Morrison of
Polymer City, and Bryce Peacher of
Shtank Interactive. If I missed anyone, firstly, my sincere apologies for my crappy memory. Just tell me and I'll include you in the next newpost. Heh, maybe next year the list might include
Sinfest,
MegaTokyo,
Sluggy Freelance, or even [cue angelic music]
Penny Arcade! But that's just wishful thinking on my behalf. It's kinda sobering to think that I've been doing this for a whole year, and to look back on what I've done in such a short period of time. Well, I guess that's pretty much it from me. Thanks for sticking around this long, and maybe I'll see you around here the same time time next year.
Nope, it ain't here!
